Haft Hoz (7 ponds)
attraction in the east of the country where one of the most beautiful natural phenomena takes place.
In an eerie silence, natural rocks are beautifully chiseled by the rain.
Every visitor will marvel at the seven pristine natural ponds in the bed of one of the branches of a river on the heights overlooking the south of Binalud. Running along a path, each pond is like a pool with water from one pouring into the next.
Haft Hoz is a region including rocks , and smooth and slippery stones. The phenomenon has occurred as a result of chemical degradation and acid rain in the bed of the branch of the river known as Torogh.
Soft limestone has eroded and created beautiful Devlin geomorphological shapes.
After passing by the seven main ponds, you’ll reach the separated large ponds. This is a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place which is not hit by crowds and is still intact and pristine; only the sound of water will please your ears.
If you’d like to visit the region, park your car after the square. Walk 2 km to reach Haft Hoz. Since the region is filled with smooth, flat and slippery rocks, you should be xtremely careful.
You are recommended to pay a visit between the sunrise and sunset as it’s a dangerous mountainous region. Make sure to take necessary equipment like appropriate shoes, clothing, etc. So please take comfortable shoes to pass through rocks easily. And don’t forget to bring your meals along if you decide to have a camping as there are no stores and shores nearby.
Try to carry your cameras around to take some nice photos. And one thing you should always keep in mind is not to leave traces behind. Collect your waste and never inscribe or leave notes on rocks. No damage which would contaminate the environment.
